A real plan first
The first thing we do to build your backyard: site visit, concept renderings, a real budget from comparable local builds, and your Master Plan binder. The planning fee credits in full to your build.
Contract and calendar
Approve the plan, sign the contract, and lock your place in the build schedule. You know the scope, the price, and the start date before we order a single pallet.
Construction
We coordinate a vetted network of specialists, the right installer for every phase, all managed by us. You get weekly updates, and we handle the permits and the paperwork.
Handoff
We walk every inch together before we call it done. You get a full handoff: warranties, care guides, and a space built to be enjoyed.

Surroundings started in Carmel, IN in 1993 with a simple belief: your outdoor space should be the center of how your family lives, rather than an afterthought, and thirty years of building here has only sharpened how we work.
We are not a national franchise and we are not a contractor marketplace. We are a Carmel-based team that has worked on thousands of Hamilton County homes, and we will be working on them for the next thirty years too.

Costs depend on scope, materials, and site conditions.
